Volunteers Sought
The Corps of Guides have been escorting persons, both members of the general public and members of the military
from not only Australia but from all corners of the world, around the historic and beautiful Victoria Barracks at Paddington (original buildings built from Sydney Sandstone and grey Welsh slate roofing) since 1983.
We inform people of the history of these Military Barracks built 1841 to 1848. The tours are conducted on Thursdays from 10am until 12 noon.
The Corps of Guides is seeking volunteers who would be interested in the military history of Sydney, to join our small group of Guides dedicated to imparting the history of Victoria Barracks to all who would participate in the guided tours.
Training will be provided to prospective new members of the Corps of Guides. Interested persons should contact a Guide on duty, or by calling David #2 on 0447 600 966 for more information.
